ELK

We feel very lucky to have grown up on a mountain that has been arguably one of the best elk hunting destinations in the West. The San Juan unit in southeastern Utah is an amazing place to chase screaming bulls. We also guide on other premier elk units within Utah such as the Beaver, Plateau Boulder, Mt. Dutton, Panguitch Lake, and others. We want to be on the units that have the ability to produce giant bulls. When we hunt elk, we take elk hunting just as seriously as our sheep and deer hunts and approach these hunts with equally as much scouting and preparation to find the biggest bulls available.

Whatever your elk hunting expectations are in Utah, there is something for everyone. The majority of our elk hunts are on units you must apply for and draw a permit through the Utah draw. The odds of drawing tags in Utah are generally pretty tough. But if you have a bunch of bonus points built up and are close to drawing a tag, give us a call and we can help find a unit and hunt that is best suited to your accumulated bonus points and trophy standards.

We guide archery, muzzleloader, and rifle hunts, but specialize in the September rut hunts on the top units. The Utah Division of Wildlife also allocates conservation permits for elk in all the best units to wildlife conservation organizations to auction. When purchased, these permits are tax-deductible and allow the recipient to hunt elk in Utah without waiting decades to draw a permit. Call us for more information on these permits or our elk hunting options.
